Planned Maintenance for Industrial Equipment
NMS performs scheduled teardown, inspection, cleanout, repair, and component replacement on production machinery and material-handling equipment.
What the Work May Include
- Equipment teardown for inspection and access
- Removal of accumulated debris and worn material
- Inspection of bearings, shafts, chains, sprockets, rollers, drives, and gearboxes
- Inspection of hydraulic components
- PLC and controls troubleshooting
- Replacement of worn or damaged parts
- Repair of frames, guards, brackets, and supports
- Reassembly and operational checks
Scheduled Teardown and Inspection
Some equipment has to be opened up before wear or damage can be seen. NMS completes scheduled teardowns and inspections so machine components can be checked while the outage is planned.
This work may include uncoilers, recoilers, straighteners, levelers, conveyors, packaging equipment, saw systems, and other production machinery.
Equipment Cleanout and Wear-Part Replacement
When buildup or worn material can no longer be handled through routine cleaning, NMS can remove the spent components and accumulated debris, clean the equipment, and install the required replacement parts.
Plasma Cutting Table Cleanout and Slat Replacement
Years of hardened dross and cut debris had buried much of the slat bed. NMS removed the spent slats and accumulated material, cleaned the table cavity, and installed a complete new slat system.

NMS can replace damaged components, repair hydraulic or controls problems, complete welding and fabrication, or make the parts needed to finish the repair.
